Aromas of blackberry pie & cinnamon lead into flavors of maple syrup, lavender, and sun-ripened blackberries. A long velvety finish leaves you feeling satisfied.
Verhey Vineyard 95% (Rattlesnake Hills)
Phinny Hill Vineyard 5% (Horse Heaven Hills)
Petit Verdot 2%
2015 – 18.5/20 points, “From the Rattlesnake Hills north of Sunnyside, this is a full flavored Malbec (95%, with 3% Carmenère and 2% Petit Verdot). It shows a deep ruby color and rich aromas of blackberries, blueberries and currants, with scents of crushed roses, lavender, sage and incense. The flavors fill the palate nicely, with bright red and blue fruits that are intermixed with licorice, cocoa, French roast and dusty earth. The back picks up pressed berries, roasted nuts and pencil shavings, followed by a lip smacking spiced, smooth tannin finish.” –Rand Sealey, Review of Washington Wines
