Clearwater Canyon Cellars tops the 2021 Platinum Awards
After being named 2020 Northwest Winery of the Year we felt many eyes watching to see how we would uphold this distinction at the Platinum competition at the end of 2021. To our surprise we secured 9 Platinum Awards, the most awarded to any winery in 2021 and a record haul for Clearwater Canyon Cellars. We have competed for the past 9 consecutive years of the 22 years of the Platinum Awards competition. In that relatively short time, we have scaled the all-time Platinum leaderboard and secured the #6 spot! We are thrilled to be hanging closely with wineries we revere such as Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards, Zerba Cellars, and Chateau Ste. Michelle. Our winemaker, Coco Umiker is also the most Platinum awarded female winemaker on the leaderboard.
The list of our wines that won Platinum and Double Platinum Awards might not come as a surprise to our loyal Enthusiast Club members, as some of these sold out within months of their release.

A notable feat was the Double Platinum Awards given to our two most recent vintages of Renaissance Red. We first produced this wine in 2004, and have released a new vintage every year since. The blend percentages and varietals may change yearly, but the quality that is produced from this modestly priced wine sourced from the Lewis-Clark Valley never waivers.
